Today's the day. After a year of paperwork, patience, and a lot of prayer the day has finally arrived. Today I leave for Ecuador. It has been an emotional day so far and it's only the start. I just said good bye to my family for a full year, and in a little more than twelve hours, I will be surrounded by what is unfamiliar. As I sit in the airport, my emotions are all over the place. Excited, sad, tired, exhilarated. There are so many opportunities and blessings that will come of this. Although it hurts sitting in an airport alone knowing I won't see my family or anything familiar for a full year, I know that God has me right where He wants me, and He will use it for my good and the good of others. Today the adventure begins...

Abbie! It will be an amazing experience! I'm so glad for you! hope you have a great time in Ecuador (we're not that far away!). I pray that God will guide and protect you everywhere you go =). Having gone through this experience myself I know that, though it may not always be easy it is wonderful getting to know other places and different cultures. Many blessings Abbie and hugs from Perú! :)

Hahaha thanks you guys! It was a different experience when my host mom woke me up speaking Spanish. The only thing I could think to say was Yes ma'am. But it really is amazing here!

AuthorI love Jesus, my family and baseball. Without my Savior I know I would defiantly not be the person I am today, and the same can be said about my family. My family is always there for me, and we all love three things for sure, Jesus, baseball, and each other. Categories
